This GivingCare Charitable Clinic was started in 1999 on the initiative of Late Mr. Mustafizur Rahman. Recognizing the need for health care for the destitute, helpless and river erosion miserable extremely poor people of the Char Algi and the surrounding villages. He established this Charitable Clinic by hiring a paramedic doctor and a associate. At the inception of the organization, many major patients expressed their experience in tears that they did not have any medical treatment before in their entire lifetime.
In an underdeveloped region where poor people depend on agricultural work for them healthcare spending is undivided to say luxury. Because the doctor’s ability to monitor the diagnosis is appropriate Male, Female and Pediatric patients from Char Algi and surrounding remote areas became very interested in getting health care and free medicine from this charitable clinic.

Poverty is a major cause of illness in Bangladesh. Our aim to alleviate some of this burden by treating many patients with conditions such as malnutrition, ulcers, asthma, epilepsy, skin infections, anemia, respiratory infections and burns.
Ramgati Upazila spans 570.55 square kilometers and includes:

- 9 unions/wards
- 57 mauzas/mahallas
- 69 villages
- 59,387 households

GivingCare Charitable Clinic is a non-profit healthcare center located in Char Algi Village, Ramgati Upazila, Lakshmipur District, in the Chittagong Division of Bangladesh. Established in 1999, our clinic serves as a vital healthcare resource for the underserved communities of Char Algi and its surrounding villages.
Our Founder’s Vision
The clinic was founded by the late Mr. Mostafizur Rahman, who recognized the dire need for accessible healthcare among the destitute and disaster-affected populations of the region—especially those impacted by poverty and river erosion. With compassion and determination, he began this initiative by hiring a paramedic and an assistant to offer free medical care to those who had never had access before.

We aim to provide free, compassionate, and quality healthcare to those who need it most. In areas where healthcare is considered a luxury, we stand committed to ensuring that no one is denied treatment due to financial hardship.
What We Do
GivingCare provides free consultation, diagnosis, and essential medicines to patients of all ages—from children to the elderly. Our clinic treats a wide range of common and chronic conditions, including:
